Close Enough Photography |
An Editorial Wedding Studio in Italy
and Beyond

Founded on the principle that proximity is essential to truthful storytelling, Close Enough Photography approaches wedding photography as an act of presence rather than performance.

From our bases in Rome and Le Marche, we work across Italy’s most iconic landscapes—navigating the grand scale of Lake Como, the layered light of Tuscany, and the cultural depth of historic cities with an approach that is intentional, restrained, and deeply human.

AUTHORSHIP | THE PERSPECTIVE

The Philosophy of Proximity

Photography, for our studio, is a commitment to intimacy. To truly document a celebration, one must be close enough to feel its pulse while remaining refined enough to respect its rhythm. This work is not about capturing a spectacle; it is about honoring the relationships, histories, and families that converge in a single moment of passage.

Over time, this has led to a deeper understanding of Italy as a place to elope or marry intimately, beyond what is visible at first glance.

We are drawn to the quiet architecture of a moment—the fleeting, the unforced, and the deeply felt—ensuring that every frame created for your destination wedding in Italy remains an honest reflection of what is being lived, not performed — see the work itself

Certain stories ask for quiet. Moments where the narrative unfolds slowly, without interruption, and where the relationship between people and place is given time to breathe.

There is a particular creative freedom in this scale of intimacy — a rhythm that allows for longer pauses and a deeper immersion in the Italian landscape.

THE DIRECTORS | HUMAN PEDIGREE

Jorge & federica

As the creative directors of the studio, our work unfolds as a dialogue between two distinct yet deeply aligned perspectives.
Our partnership is grounded in a shared commitment to clarity, cultural awareness, and long-form thinking—shaped by lives lived across borders and by years of navigating complex, international celebrations.

Having experienced marriage ourselves, we approach every commission with both empathy and perspective.
We understand the emotional weight of the day while remaining attentive to the visual legacy it becomes.

Born in Spain and shaped by years living in the United Kingdom, Jorge brings a cross-cultural sensibility to destination celebrations. His approach is measured and observational, guided by an analytical understanding of structure, light, and visual rhythm.

He anchors each story with compositional clarity - attentive to scale, architecture, and the quiet moments in between - ensuring that the narrative remains coherent even within the complexity of multi-day itineraries.

What defines his work is discernment.

Jorge photographs with an editorial discipline that favors intention over excess, allowing scenes to unfold without interference. His presence is calm and unobtrusive, creating the conditions in which genuine moments can exist without self-consciousness. This steadiness is what allows the larger narrative to breathe while preserving its emotional precision

Federica — The Cultural Continuity

Italian-born and deeply attuned to language, context, and nuance, Federica serves as a quiet bridge between cultures. Her sensitivity lies in the invisible architecture of the day: understanding timing, transitions, and the subtle dynamics that allow moments to unfold naturally.

With an intimate knowledge of Italian heritage and communication, she ensures that the experience remains fluid and unencumbered—allowing the emotional rhythm of the celebration to lead, without interruption.

What defines her work is fluency.

Federica moves seamlessly between cultures, languages, and emotional registers, shaping the invisible architecture of the day. Her understanding of timing, transitions, and human dynamics allows moments to unfold naturally, without friction or interruption.

EDITORIAL AUTHORITY | TRUST

A Legacy of Trust

Our editorial perspective has led us to work within some of Italy’s most iconic settings, including Lake Como, Tuscany, and Rome, often alongside highly regarded planners and designers. This familiarity with layered, demanding environments allows us to approach each celebration with clarity, composure, and continuity.

Our work and expertise have been featured in Vogue, Vanity Fair, The Lane, Tatler, and Brides, among others

REFINED ALIGNMENT | CONNECTION

Alignment of Vision

We find our best work emerges when there is a shared appreciation for subtlety and artistic trust. We are here for those who see their wedding not as a performance for an audience, but as a profoundly personal experience lived fully with the people who matter most.

If you value work that honors emotional truth over orchestration, the experience we offer is already aligned with your way of seeing.

A Considered Practice

To maintain the depth and presence required for this level of authorship, we accept only a limited number of commissions each year.

This allows us to remain fully engaged in every collaboration—from the first conversation to the delivery of a carefully edited archive.
